About ME
How great is this picture? Add a reggae band and you're looking at my dream moment!
While I am not daydreaming of said scenario, I enjoy teaching 6th grade Humanities and the 7th grade Vision program. I am currently in my 16th year as an educator in the SMMUSD. I am passionate about helping students understand what it takes to make it to college and on toward a successful career. I believe this can be done through fun, engaging activities that help students make real-life connections. |
Need to reach me?
|
I am always happy to discuss student progress with parents. If you would like to ask a brief question or require a quick response, the best way to reach me is by email ([email protected]). I generally get back to people within 24 hours. However, if you require more detailed information, or have an issue that needs to be resolved, let's set up a meeting. Again, email me and we'll get it set up quickly. Thanks!

WHAT's going on in class?
|
This website is an excellent way to know what is going on in class. Each course has a page at this site and should give weekly information on assignments, due dates, and announcements.
We use a number of digital and online resources in class daily. These sites are also useful for practice at home. Our most used sites include: Google Classroom (classroom.google.com), NewsELA.com, and NoRedInk.com. Google Classroom is also frequently used as a place to post digital assignments. Students will complete these assignments in-class and/or at home. I will also be using ClassDojo to communicate student behavior (positive and negative). The system is never perfect, but it should give you a general sense. Finally, please plan on attending all class / school programs. These are excellent opportunities to find out how your student is doing and to take pride in his/her effort. |
